GENEVEIVE REACTS AFTER OSCAR LIONS HEART REJECTION

Popular Nollywood actress, Genevieve Nnaji in a new tweet, has given the ‘Academy’ some reasons why ‘Lion Heart’ remains unique, so that they can reconsider their decision about disqualifying ‘Lion Heart’ from the entries for Oscars Award.
She made the tweet while replying American filmmaker, Ava DuVernay who earlier showed her concern by calling out the Academy and questioning the authenticity of their judgement wit regards to the disqualification of ‘Lion Heart’.

Fire has gutted a shopping complex on Martin Street on the Lagos Island area of Lagos State. Our correspondent learnt that men of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency and Lagos State Fire Service have been deployed to put out the inferno. Many traders, our correspondent learnt, had been struggling to salvage some of their goods from the burning building. The cause of the fire and the extent of damage had yet to be ascertained as of press time.
