EBERE EZE, QPR STAR OVERTAKES VICTOR OSIMHEN AS ESPN NIGERIA OCTOBER RANKING

Nigerian football stars were impressive for their various European clubs all through the month of October - with Dennis Bonaventure scoring a sensational brace against Real Madrid. Former MFM FC striker, Stephen Odey was also on target for his Belgian League side Genk in their 4-1 defeat to Liverpool last month. Moses Simon scored hat-trick in their 8-0 demolition of Paris FC in their French Cup encounter towards the end of the tenth month of the year. However, Queens Park Rangers forward, Ebere Eze has catapulted himself to number one on the October 2019 Nigeria Power Rankings' top ten chart. Victor Osimhen occupied the position for two consecutive months - August and September before being dislodged by England star of Nigerian descent at the end of last month. Eze's performances for his Championship side has attracted the attention of Super Eagles head coach Gernot Rohr, who is looking to hand the player a call up. The 21-year-old scored three goals in five appearances for QPR in the month under review, but his ranking transcends just the goals he scored.
